A letter from America

This letter was found in the documents I inherited from John Charles West Appleton. I found it to be exceedingly interesting and would dearly love to know who Kitty from Erith was. What was Edward P. Hackett and the B.H. 37 detachment of the US army doing in Dartford? If anyone can shed any light on these people or events we would be very pleased to hear from you.

The letter is dated the 20th March 1919, and was sent by Edward P. Hackett from 201 Snyder Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A.
